Frequently Asked Questions

  • What age groups does 3Cs Counseling Center offer services for?
    We offer counseling services for anyone ages 6+.
  • Do you accept insurance?
    3Cs Counseling Center currently accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Trust of Michigan and Blue Care Network MI. More credentialing is expected soon, and updates will be added here. Cash payments can be made via PayPal, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle. HSA payments can be made via Square. A sliding scale and payment plans are available to those in financial need. Please reach out to 3CsCounselingCenter@gmail.com if you are looking for services and are having trouble affording care.
  • Are there forms I need to fill out?
    You will complete intake forms prior to your first session. These are available on the website and your therapist can also send them via SignNow. If you require hardcopies, please provide your mailing address and these will be sent to you. Please allow 5-7 days for delivery and 5-7 days for the forms to be returned by mail.
  • Should I attend my child's counseling session?
    Counseling works best when an individual is given space to openly express how they feel, no matter their age. Your therapist will work with you to schedule a time to meet at least one a month or more. Usually this will be during the first 15 minutes of the child's session or the final 15 minutes. At this time, you can ask any questions you'd like and the therapist will provide you with general progress information, including addressing any concerns.
  • If I move out of state, can I still work with you?
    3Cs Counseling Center is licensed to provide services only to those who reside in the state of Michigan. We can work together to find a suitable replacement should you move out of the state.
  • How often will we meet?
    Most of the time, sessions are held weekly. However, it may be necessary to meet more or less, depending on a client's individual needs. This will be discussed at intake and the frequency can change at any time as needs change.
  • Who is the client if we schedule a couple's session.
    In a couple's session, the couple is a client. Both individuals will be asked to fill out separate paperwork prior to intake and the needs of both will be considered in session.
  • My family member/friend/close acquaintance is looking for a therapist. Can you help?
    This can get tricky. The therapist will determine whether or not there will be an ethical conflict of interest on a case by case basis as long as you are an active client.
  • I am a family member/close friend/close acquaintance of the therapist's. Can I still seek services at 3Cs Counseling Center?
    Unfortunately, the answer is no. While 3Cs Counseling strives to help everyone who is in need of mental health services, this is an ethical conflict of interest and is not permitted in counseling, in general.
  • I don't see my question here. What can I do?
